Sing, Dance and Jam Along with Us this Fall!

In this season’s Flute Song Collection, we’ll get out our instruments and play along to the jazzy new original “Blue St. Pat,” search the “Pawpaw Patch,” and climb aboard the “Train to the City.” And those are only three of the twenty-five songs you’ll learn, which include Music Together originals and traditional songs.

In addition to your weekly classes, you will receive a full-color songbook and CD to use at home. You also get online access to the songs through the Hello Everybody app and the Family Music Zone (includes downloadable MP3s), as well as a family newsletter with more at-home music-making ideas. Families new to the program receive the parent guide “Music and Your Child.”

New Flute Songbook!

The next edition of the family songbook is debuting this fall with the revised Flute Song Collection. Each song is brought to life through colorful and engaging illustrations by award-winning artist Jaime Kim and children’s book illustrator Gerald Kelley. The new book will inspire your family to play with music all week long. You’ll find it helpful to learn the lyrics, as a jumping-off point for creative storytelling, and to learn more about the songs you’re singing in class. Your child may enjoy snuggling with you and singing through the whole book at once—or opening to a page to tell you what song they want to sing!

Our Music

The Music Together® curriculum includes a mix of original songs and traditional tunes from in a variety of tonalities and meters. Music Together recordings have outstanding arrangements that are fun, sophisticated, and loved by children and grownups alike. The music is pitched in just the right range for children’s voices and includes songs, rhythmic rhymes, tonal and rhythm patterns, and instrumental play-alongs.

All of the songs are suitable for mixed-age groups, perfect for childcare centers or families with children of different ages. By presenting a range of musical styles from lyrical to blues, from folk to boogie, Music Together provides children with a rich music experience that stimulates and supports their growing music skills and understanding.MT SocialTiles FLUTE Illustration 08

Nine Song Collections Plus 3 Summer Compilations

Music Together’s nine song collections and 3 summer compilations are presented in a three-year cycle of four sessions per year. They are non-sequential, so families may join at any time and attend class for three full years before cycling back to re-experience the collections from their growing children’s ever-changing perspectives. Because music learning is cumulative, with children reaping developmental benefits that build over time, we encourage their participation for as many years as possible from infancy through kindergarten.

Note: Music Together Walla Walla does not currently offer a summer session.
